Two New Dumpers from Wacker Neuson
Suggesting that the North American market presents a good growth opportunity for dumpers, Wacker Neuson has introduced the DW60 and DW90 dumpers. The articulated, hydrostatic 4-wheel drive machines are designed to carry full payloads across rough terrain, muddy conditions and steep hills.
The DW60 can carry up to 4.2 cubic yards of dirt and is a perfect match to work with 5-ton to 10-ton excavators. The DW90 can carry up to 5.6 cubic yards of dirt and is an excellent material mover partner for larger excavators, such as Wacker Neuson’s newest 14-ton model.
Fitted with turf tires, the company states, and the dumpers become the perfect material movers for more sensitive ground conditions. Because dumpers have a smaller footprint than traditional dump trucks, and can easily maneuver around confined and busy job sites, more dirt can be moved faster, significantly improving cycle times.
The heavy-duty, impact resistant buckets are able to swivel and dump from the front or either side which makes dumping more precise and efficient. The buckets are easily operated with a simple joystick control within easy reach for the driver.
These versatile dumpers are ideal for utility work, landscape jobs, golf, turf and ground maintenance as well as cemetery use. The maneuverability and large capacities are efficient for moving all kinds of materials, plus a dumpers won’t tear up the existing landscape, saving on potentially costly turf repairs.
The hydrostatic drive system promotes simple and safe operation. Both models are powered by a 75 horsepower, Tier 4 Final, turbo-charged Perkins engine. The operator’s stations that are easily accessible from both sides and the dashboards display a full range of dials/indicator lights such as fuel gauge, low fuel warning light and parking brake light for operator convenience. The machines are available with heated/air-conditioned cabs or a ROPS versions with a new optional awning to help protect the operator from rain and sun.
