Bobcat Introduces 3D Grade Control System for Compact Loaders

Bobcat and Trimble have partnered to produce the first 3D grade control system for use with Bobcat skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders and all-wheel steer loaders. The Trimble GCS900 grade control system for use with Bobcat 96- and 108-inch heavy-duty grader attachments will offer both small and large contractors alike the ability to work on complex projects that require digital designs and 3D machine control.

The 3D grading system results in less rework, less staking and checking, lower operating costs, improved material usage and faster job cycles.

By using the industry standard Controller Area Network (CAN) harnesses, sensors can be moved from machine to machine. The 3D system can be used with these M-Series loaders: the S750 through S850 skid-steer loaders; T650 through T870 compact track loaders; and the A770 all-wheel steer loader. A deluxe instrumentation panel is required for M-Series loaders in order to use the 3D system.

The Bobcat 3D-ready system requires the use of a 3D-sensor kit and a 3D-harness kit, available for sale through a local Bobcat compact equipment dealer.
