Deere Adds to Commercial Front Mower Line
John Deere increases its front mount mower models with the new 1500 Series TerrainCut Front Mowers. The series adds five new models of Final Tier 4 compliant machines.
Features include a 24.2HP engine on the 1550 model and 37.4HP on the other four models. They can be equipped with a 60 in. or 72 in. side discharge deck, or 62 in. or 72 in. rear discharge deck. These decks come standard with flat free semi-pneumatic caster tires that increase uptime to finish the job. A factory-installed cab is an option.
The 1550 and 1570 TerrainCut models are available with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive. The on-demand four-wheel drive automatically engages and disengages as needed to keep operators productive. The 1580 and 1585 TerrainCut models come standard with four-wheel drive and 2-speed transmission to provide faster transport speeds and slower operating speeds when using implements.
The company says the mowers offer four-season capabilities, which can expand your options for rentals. Along with cutting grass in wet or dry conditions, they can blow snow or clean streets and walkways, using compatible attachments.
The 1575 and 1585 models have the only factory-installed cab on the market and come standard with HVAC, front work lights, flashers, turn signals, windshield wiper, an upholstered, air suspension seat, and tilt steering. Curved glass and single pane tempered windows provide an unobstructed view no matter what the task.
Available implements and accessories include snow blowers, blades, brooms, a weight transfer kit for improved attachment performance, auxiliary hydraulics, and a cold weather heater block.
