360-Degree Rotating Crawler Carrier from Terramac
Terramac's newest model, the RT14R, is built with an upper frame that rotates 360 degrees, allowing operators to offload materials in a more efficient, precise and safe manner. The machine can carry and dump up to 28,000 pounds. of material at any position, even while driving.
Because the tracks don’t need to be rotated to drive another direction, the RT14R can offload materials faster than a straight frame unit. This also helps reduce environmental damage and land restoration costs, and results in less wear on tracks, helping reduce downtime and repairs.
The 40,000-lb. machine is powered by a QSL9.0 320-hp Tier 4 Final Cummins diesel engine (non DPF). With Terramac’s rubber track technology, the carrier produces 7.9-psi ground pressure while fully-loaded, helping it handle soft or wet ground conditions and mountainous terrain where wheeled machines are likely to create ruts and get stuck. Low ground pressure and rotating functionality offer advantages in confined spaces and environmentally sensitive areas.
With the RT14R, operators spend less time reversing the machine, which adds a degree of safety. This model offers rollover protective structure (ROPS) and falling object protective structure (FOPS), is ergonomically designed with a wide access door for easy entry and exit, has windows on all sides and a large mirror for increased visibility. A multi-function joystick with dump controls provides user-friendly operation and a touch screen control system allows for full graphical, diagnostic and controller area network (CAN J-1939) gateway capability.
