Hyundai Showcases Compact Radius Excavator

Hyundai introduced its R60CR-9A compact radius excavator last month. This machine is designed for performance in tight, confined job sites.

Hyundai radius excavatorThe 13,010 lb machine has a 63 hp Tier 4 Final Yanmar 4TNV98C engine for proven, reliable power. The engine is electronically controlled for optimum fuel to air ratio and clean, efficient combustion and provides low noise, anti-restart features. Bucket breakout force is 9,190 lbs,  maximum dig depth is11’9” and it has .24 cubic yard bucket capacity. The tail swing radius is a tight 3.7 feet.

An advanced hydraulic system helps optimize matching between the joystick and main control valve for smooth operation. An arm flow summation system provides energy savings, reduced cavitation and increased speed. To improve safety and avoid boom drift, the R60CR-9A is equipped with an integrated boom holding system. The boom swing function allows the boom to be offset left or right within an operating range, making for efficient work in congested areas.  Other features include a hydraulic damper in the travel pedal, a hydraulically lubricated swing reducer with a leak-free grease chamber, improved structural strength and visibility, a roomy and ergonomically designed cabin an advanced audio system, suspension seat, adjustable arm rests, easily accessible control levers, multiple storage compartments and an automatic air conditioning system are provided for operator comfort and productivity.

The R60CR-9A comes standard with an advanced LED cluster allowing the operator to select personal machine preferences. The monitor displays engine rpm, engine oil temperature, water temperature and information for all electronic devices. Button selections are provided for auto idle mode, max power mode and travel speed. A security feature is also provided to prevent the machine from starting without a proper password.

Maintenance is easy on the R60CR-9A compact excavator. A newly-designed wide open engine hood, easy change air filter, centralized grease fittings, and a tilting cabin make for convenient servicing. The excavator is equipped with long life components including bushings designed for extended lube intervals of 250 hours – and polymer shims to resist wear and reduce noise. Extended-life hydraulic filters (1,000 hours), long-life hydraulic oil (5,000 hours), along with more efficient cooling and pre-heating systems help extend service intervals to reduce operating costs and machine down time.
