New Plate Compactor from Atlas Copco
Atlas Copco has introduced its LG 504 forward and reversible plate compactor, featuring higher frequency, higher centrifugal force and higher amplitude compared to its predecessor. It can compact medium to deep layers of granular soils and provides excellent traction on wet soil, the company says.
High speed and balanced design contribute to easy handling, even on rough surfaces. With low vibration levels and a vibration-damped handle, the LG504 offers ergonomic benefits to operators that can help improve productivity. With its size and handling, it can be an effective alternative and complement to rollers when compacting soil in confined areas.
For ease-of-maintenance, there's better access to belt tensioning and to the tank. It also features a heavy duty frame and impact-resistant steel covers to protect the engine and transmission. Hydraulic forward/reverse lever. The compactor is powered by a Hatz diesel.
