Generac Highlights Innovation on Mobile Light Tower
Generac Mobile Products (Magnum Power Products) introduced a new mobile light tower, emphasizing specific innovations that were designed into the light tower based on input from its rental center customers. The MLT6S features a large fuel tank for up to 90 hours of run time, 750-hour service intervals (twice as long as previous model) and a durable, corrosion-proof poly shell.
The vertical mast has an ergonomic, two-handled winch for fast deployment, a flip-hood for full, easy service access to battery and filter, and 360-degree ground rotation for the lights. For greater visibility and safety, trailer and control panel lights operate while running. Wider wheel base and longer tongue provide improved towing stability. To help rental centers save money on transport, the towers are designed to fit 17 on a 48-ft flatbed and 19 units can be delivered on a 53-ft. flatbed. Mitsubishi and Kubota 3-cylinder diesel engines are available.
