Hilti Introduces Hand-Held Gas Saws, Line of Diamond Blades
Hilti's new hand-held gas saws, models DSH 700-X and DSH 900-X, cut concrete slabs, asphalt, sewage pipes and more. These next generation saws incorporate Easy Start technology that automatically sets the proper amount of choke for more first-pull starts. The company also announced it is offering a line of diamond blades.
With Easy Start, there’s no need to worry about adjusting the choke, users flip the switch “on” and pull the starter rope, the company says. The saws incorporate Hilti's Cyclone Air Filtration System to remove most of the dust and debris from the engine air intake flow using centrifugal force, increasing the filter’s lifetime and performance, meaning less downtime for rental owners.
The DSH 700-X is a 70cc saw available in a 14-inch model, while the DSH 900-X is a 90cc saw in 14- and 16-inch models. Maintenance is simple with an easy-to-access and change starter rope, air filter housing and a reinforced blade guard. Common maintenance parts such as air filters, starter ropes, spark plug, and fuel filter are included.
When used with the new portfolio of diamond cutting discs in three new performance levels— Equidist SPX, SP and P — the DSH 700-X and DSH 900-X excel in cutting a variety of base materials including all types of concrete, masonry (hollow-brick, limestone, etc.), and asphalt. Each blade operates with its own unique capacity to increase productivity, versatility and speed even in the most demanding applications.
