Featuring a powerful, fuel-efficient engine and a larger fuel tank than previous models, this auger works longer with fewer refuels. It also includes a vertical pleated air filter for better air filtration, extended service intervals and increased product life.* Its semi-automatic choke lever enables a simplified starting procedure that helps pros get to the job faster, while the Stihl Quickstop auger brake automatically stops operation if the bit is snagged.

- Stihl auger brake automatically stops operation if the bit is snagged. Braking system stops the auger bit from turning when the auger hits a hard underground impediment. When the brake lever makes contact with the user, the machine makes an immediate stop
- The brake locks the clutch, allowing users to manually unscrew the auger from the hole. If the auger is stuck in the ground, the user can engage the brake and manually remove the auger from the hole by twisting the machine in the counter clockwise rotation instead of attempting to lift the auger out from under the digging material or having to dig the bit out with a shovel.
- Simplified starting and one-touch stop
- Semi-automatic choke lever enables simplified three-step start procedure, saving users time; To start, users simply purge the pump primer, place the product in choke and pull the starter handle
- Semi-automatic choke lever allows user to engage throttle to automatically move product from choke to run, reducing the chance of flooding
- The one-touch stop switch allows the user to turn off the engine with the simple press of a button. When the engine is off, the one-touch stop switch automatically returns the auger to the start position, saving users time and reducing the chance of flooding the engine when restarting; users simply pull the starter rope and engage the throttle to get back to work
