Scissor lift upgrades 
JLG Industries Inc. has updated its LRT series of rough-terrain scissors with a refined platform control joystick for smoother and more precise machine repositioning. Other control system upgrades provide system feedback to improve drive control. Leveling jack performance has been improved and in addition to their ability to support larger loads, the LRT series scissor lifts offer excellent gradeability and maneuverability. The complete lineup is powered by Tier 4 Final diesel engines, which do not require the serviceable emissions technology found in larger engines. Calibrations can now be performed from the stowed position with a single click of the analyzer and the elevation sensor doesn’t need recalibration after a software update.

Scissor lift for indoor high-rise buildings
The Genie GS-4047 self-propelled electric scissor lift is designed to meet the demands of tightly packed, high-rise indoor spaces found in modern tilt-up warehouse construction. It lifts up to 550 pounds to a maximum working height of 45 feet and drives at full height. The scissor lift’s top applications include industrial construction, warehouse maintenance, maintenance and indoor painting and cleanup. It features dual front-wheel drive and a zero inside turning radius, combined with a compact footprint of just 8 feet long and 47 inches wide stowed. Scissor-boom lift 
Forever-ODM Inc. adds its patent-pending 32/15 Scissor-Boom lift that offers rental companies a way to buy the unit at a scissor-lift price and rent it out at boom-lift rental rates, Forever-ODM sources report. The 32/15 Scissor-Boom lift has a 15-foot platform outreach at 32 feet high. This combination allows it to do the same job that would need to be completed with a boom lift in the S40/S45/Z40/Z45/S46/Z46 range. The company will soon add a 45/22 Scissor-Boom lift that has a 22-foot platform outreach up to 45 feet high. This model will do the same job that would otherwise require a S60/S65/S68/Z60/Z68-sized boom lift. The new models will be ANSI A92-compliant. The models transport on a trailer and pick-up.

Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU) offers a line of high-quality scissor lifts manufactured by Aichi, a subsidiary of Toyota Industries Corporation. It offers five new scissor lifts with 19- to 32-foot platform heights and 30- to 46-inch platform widths. They also feature Toyota’s exclusive AC motor drive system for lower maintenance costs and more than twice the operating time of a hydraulic drive system; 220 amp-hour batteries for extended operating hours and greater efficiency and productivity;  and reduced weight for increased maximum speeds. The models come with a full range of standard equipment and options, including an all-new industry-leading joystick, sources report.

Lightweight slab scissor lift
The Snorkel S3215L is a lightweight electric slab scissor lift that can be transported by most freight elevators. Its design is based on the Snorkel S3215E scissor lift. The unit weighs approximately 2,100 pounds and reaches a working height of 21 feet. The scissor stack has a double-shear design with oversized end pins that are 80 percent stronger than the industry standard, improving stack rigidity and stack life. The unit can climb gradients of up to 30 percent, and delivers long duty cycles between charges.
