New Holland skid-steer loader

Vertical-lift skid-steer loaders
New Holland’s L218 and L220 vertical lift skid steer loaders have 1,800 and 2,000 pounds rated operating capacity and bucket breakout forces of up to 5,550 and 7,300 pounds, respectively.  Overall efficiency is improved with the patented New Holland Super Boom vertical lift linkage, which delivers maximum reach at maximum height, allowing workers to precisely place loads in the center of trucks. The L218 and L220 feature a smooth, stable ride because of a longer wheelbase, low center of gravity and precise front-to-rear weight distribution. Self-leveling and ride control are optional. The wide cab is designed for optimal visibility and comfort and an industry-leading lower door threshold improves sightlines to the bucket cutting edge and to the trench, and the see-through roof provides a clear view of the bucket at full height. Rear visibility is increased with a large window and low engine hood with no rear frame towers. They are also easy to service with a swing-out rear door and hood for easy access to engine oil, fuel, hydraulic oil, coolant and radiator points all without tools.

D Series models
Caterpillar offers D Series skid steer loaders that feature a completely redesigned cab with a new lift arm design for improved sight lines and increased engine performance. The six skid steer loader models range in rated operating capacity from 1,800 to 3,700 pounds. The 236D and 242D are mid-size frame models and can be as narrow as 60 inches. The 236D now has a smaller platform size so it is a power-dense radial-lift-path model with 1,800-pound operating capacity and 123-inch hinge-pin height. The new large-frame 246D and 262D offer rated operating capacities of 2,150 and 2,700 pounds respectively. The largest 272D and 272D XHP are powered by a Cat C3.8 3.8-liter engine that produces 98 gross horsepower for the 272D and 110 net horsepower for the 272D XHP.

Case SV340 skid steer loader

Heavy-duty skid-steer loader
Case Construction Equipment introduces the SV340 skid steer, the company’s most powerful skid steer ever built, sources report. Rated at 3,400 pounds operating capacity and a bucket breakout force of 9,531 pounds, the vertical-lift skid steer provides extra power and performance, along with a stronger lift arm, H-link and upper chassis. It offers optional high-flow (38.7 gpm at 3,450 psi) and enhanced high-flow (35 gpm at 4,000 psi) auxiliary hydraulics for power and attachment versatility. Its heavy-duty 14 x 17.5 tires and additional counterweights make the SV340 the ideal operating platform for advanced attachments such as cold planers, tree spades and stump grinders. The skid steer can power more than 250 attachments, including the new Case sectional snow pushes, buckets, forks, brooms, rakes and more. The 90-horsepower FPT engine with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology eliminates the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF), and the associated downtime of other systems that require regeneration. The EZ-EH electro-hydraulic controls offer nine adjustable speed and control sensitivity settings that allows the operator to quickly switch between personalized settings for speed and control and to tailor machine performance to the application. The SV340 offers one of the widest cabs in the industry and the lowest entry threshold for easy access and greater bucket/attachment visibility. Routine service points are all located at the rear of the machine.
