Morbark appoints Showers

Jason Showers will be product manager of Tree Care Products.

As the Winn, Michigan, equipment manufacturer continues to expand and evolve after over 60 years in business, talented professionals like Showers will help elevate product development and how those products are brought to market.

Showers will serve as the subject matter expert for all matters related to Morbark’s brush chipper equipment line.

"I am excited to continue in a capacity at Morbark where I can share my knowledge with other industry colleagues," says Showers. "After working with Morbark products for many years, I look forward to putting my expertise to work and helping the company grow and innovate this product line."

Showers has approximately 20 years of experience in the equipment manufacturing industry. Before assuming this new position, he served as Morbark’s product manager for the company’s Boxer Equipment line of compact utility loaders and attachments and has been instrumental in developing and managing the product line’s network of distributors, manufacturing representatives, and rental business. He has also worked in special projects, helping to facilitate the creation and liftoff of other new programs. He has been an active member of the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) where he now serves as a member of its Board of Directors.

Inside sales coordinator, Mark Rau, will now assume the duties of developing and managing the Boxer Equipment network of independent distributors, manufacturing representatives, as well as continuing to develop the company’s presence in the rental market. In the past, Rau has served as the company’s Dealer Development Manager and has been with Morbark for 40 years.

"Jason and Mark bring a knowledge base and experience level that will undoubtedly strengthen all Boxer and Morbark Tree Care Products," says Casey Gross, director, Tree Care Products. "In particular, having Jason and Mark’s extensive experience will make both of these lines of equipment stronger now and into the future."
