The S-80 J TraX model is based on the design of the Genie S-80 J boom lift, which offers a simplified design that reduces wearable and replaceable parts. Four independent tracks swivel vertically up to 20 percent, creating a smooth ride on rough ground conditions. It delivers a maximum working height of 86 feet 5 inches and a maximum platform capacity of 660 pounds. It also reduces ground/underfoot contact pressure by an average of 72 percent when compared with standard tire options. This is due to the tracks’ broader weight distribution that allows it to operate on sensitive surfaces like low-weight floors, sand and turf, or in muddy terrain without placing mats or cribbing to support the machine’s weight.
The TraX system also contains 50 percent fewer serviceable parts compared with other tracks systems on the market, which further reduces the time and expense related to maintenance. All parts are common between the small and large TraX systems, reducing parts inventory requirements for rental companies
