Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas introduces its A Series excavators, including the Hyundai HX210AL model designed to appeal to rental centers and dealers.

"The Hyundai HX210AL excavator fills an important spot in our product lineup,” says Matt Gansser, director of distribution and marketing, Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas. “Demand is growing for this weight class, especially among equipment rental houses and dealers that have a high volume of rental business. The HX210AL meets this need with a set of specifications and standard equipment that makes it an economical, yet productive, machine.”

Speed, power and control
The HX210AL model incorporates a variety of new and enhanced standard features, including Electric Positive Flow Control (EPFC) that improves fine control while reducing fuel consumption, ensuring the optimal balance of power, precision and economy. Hyundai provides five years of free access and use of its global HiMATE telematic monitoring system. With satellite and GSM connectivity, HiMATE enables remote monitoring of productivity, fuel consumption, system warning and maintenance status, reducing unplanned downtime and improving fleet utilization. HiMATE also enables geo-fencing to keep the machine confined within prescribed geographic limits.

The Hyundai All Around View Monitoring (AAVM) system gives a 360-degree view around the machine. The system includes Hyundai’s Intelligent Moving Objects Detection (IMOD) technology that alerts the operator to the presence of anything within a 16.5-foot range of operation via an audible alarm and color changes displayed on the 8-inch in-cab monitor.

It also has Hyundai’s Two-Dimensional Machine Guidance (2D MG) system that displays the height of bucket teeth from the target depth and angle of the bucket in real-time. It’s ideal for trenching, grading, and making a slope, which can increase productivity by about 30 percent without a worker in the dig site.

Cummins engines boost fuel economy
Cummins Performance Series engines are the most environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient engines on the market today. They are up toto 11 percent more fuel efficient than previous comparable models.

New Lift Mode adds fine swing/free swing controls
The HX210AL excavator also incorporates Hyundai’s new Lift Mode, which adds two new optional swing control features – Fine Swing and Free Swing. The new Lift Mode assists an operator when picking a heavy load, allowing the hydraulic system to go to the highest secondary relief setting (Power Boost), and providing maximum and constant hydraulic lifting force.
