12,000-pound telescopic handler with no engine aftertreatment
The JCB 512-56 Loadall telehandler is now available with a 74-horsepower JCB EcoMAX engine, requiring no DEF, DPF or engine aftertreatment.
JCB now offers its 512-56 Loadall telescopic handler with a 74-horsepower JCB EcoMAX engine, making it the world’s first 12,000-pound telehandler that requires no diesel particulate filter (DPF), diesel engine fluid (DEF) or other engine aftertreatment.

The new model uses the proven high-torque 74-horsepowerp JCB EcoMAX engine from the company’s popular 510-56 telehandler with enhancements that help it achieve 14 percent more available power and an 11 percent increase in power-to-weight ratio.

The 512-56 Loadall features JCB’s unique U-pressed steel boom that requires fewer welds and results in fewer stress points, further enhancing the strength and durability of the machine. Also unique to JCB Loadall telehandlers are the 500-hour extended service intervals and simplified maintenance procedures, with all daily checks performed at ground level. Maintenance planning is enhanced by JCB’s available LiveLink telematics system, which provides machine status information to remote devices.
JCB pioneered the telescopic handler in 1977 and is the world’s leading manufacturer, with more than 250,000 units sold worldwide. The 512-56 Loadall adds to the growing range of 15 Loadall telehandler models for the construction and rental industries—eight tool carriers (TC) and seven lift-and-place machines—with lift capacities ranging from 5,500 lb to 14,000 lb and lift heights from 20 feet to 66 feet.
