FTG Equipment Solutions acquired

Trime, Tecnogen partner to target growth in the North American equipment sector.

Trime S.R.L., a leading international manufacturer of light towers and BGG Group, that includes Tecnogen Spa,a leading international manufacturer of generators, have partnered to focus on growth in the North American equipment market.

On September 3, 2021, the companies finalized the acquisition of their exclusive dealer in North America, FTG Equipment Solutions. All current FTG Equipment Solutions staff are to remain with the company. The acquisition will enable complete vertical integration from production through distribution.

Steve Scattolini, FTG managing director, has been appointed to the position of president/CEO and will lead the North American operations for the company.

"We are very happy to have completed this acquisition which will strengthen the presence of our group in the North American market, as well as the international positioning of the group. North America represents the largest market in the world for lighting towers and, at this stage, is experiencing a deep change with an increasing interest in 'green' products, which are already widespread in Europe and where Trime has always played a leading position,” says Andrea Fontanella, chairman and Paolo Tacconi, CEO of Trime.

"This acquisition has a strong strategic meaning as it allows the group to strengthen our presence in one of the most important markets in the world increasingly oriented to high-quality products. At the same time this deal will enhance the work done during the past five years of collaboration with FTG, ensuring continuity of support for our end customer," says Renato Bruno, CEO of BGG Group.

Trime (www.trimegroup.com) specializes in the design and production of a full line of LED diesel, hybrid, solar and battery lighting towers, dewatering pumps, fuel tanks, wash bays and hydraulic-driven tools for the construction and road works sector. In addition to the light towers, Trime has developed a wide range of electric generators under the Tekno Project brand, which, like the lighting towers, are sold to the most important rental companies in Europe, North and South America and Australia. In 2019, Trime acquired Doa, a company operating in the generators and hydraulic tools market. The group has also subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
