New Brushcat Rotary Cutters
For clearing construction sites or trails, Bobcat is offering a new Brushcat rotary cutter attachment. Designed to help compact equipment operators cut grass, brush and small trees, the oscillating deck enables the attachment to follow the ground contours, even on slopes.
Dual-blade design reduces weight and the shorter deck improves operator visibility, has a tighter turning radius and is easier to fit and load on trailers.
The cutters use two direct-drive, offset motors with dual-blade design. Direct-drive means fewer moving parts and no gearbox, efficiently transferring power to the blades. The cutters are approved for use with select Bobcat skid steers, compact track loaders, all-wheel steer loaders, Toolcat and the company's VersaHandler telescopic tool carrier.
Safety features include front safety chains and a rear tapered roller to help contain debris. A velocity fuse is integrated with the hydraulic system valve on standard-flow models, protecting the drive motor by shutting off flow to the cutter if hydraulic capacity of the motor is exceeded.
Five models are available, coming in 66-, 72- and 80-inch widths, in standard and high-flow. High-flow models deliver increased torque for better cutting in thick brush.
