Southwest Products New QP 50 Generator
Southwest Products' new QP 50 generator offers environmentally-friendly, quiet operation and is the company's Tier 4 Final mobile generator. Currently in final testing it will be introduced at the upcoming PowerGen International show.
Developed by SWP’s engineering team, the generator uses an Isuzu 4LE2X engine and is built to operate effectively in all types of terrain and harsh environments. The QP 50 offers a standby rating of 50 kVA/40 kW and a prime rating of 45 kVA/26 kW and has features such as a lockable enclosure and oversized alternator for superior motor starting. Sound tests indicate that that the QP 50 will be one of the quietest generators in its power node, with a sound dBA of 64.
The QP 50 generator offers the opportunity to power job sites with greater efficiency while remaining environmentally-conscious, said Paul Hecker, director of engineering at Southwest Products. “It’s exceptionally quiet and heavy duty operation is sure to make the QP 50 a leader in its power node. We’re proud to offer our first Tier 4 Final product in our mobile generator line with more environmentally friendly products coming soon from SWP.”
