Three Deere Excavator Models Upgraded
With Final Tier 4 Engines
John Deere upgrades three G-Series excavator models – 250G LC, 350G LC and 380G LC – with a Final Tier 4 engine, meeting emissions standards and offering increased uptime, lower operating costs.
The 250G LC features a 188 hp certified Final Tier 4 John Deere PowerTech PVS 6.8L engine; the 350G LC and 380G LC are powered by a certified Final Tier 4 John Deere PowerTech PSS 9.0L engine with 271 hp. The improved Final Tier 4 Technology enabled John Deere to maintain or reduce total fluid consumption, helping to lower daily operating costs.
Diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning is automatic, with no impact to machine operation and, based on the company's testing, the filter can operate for up to 15,000 hours before ash removal.
The new G-Series models have a larger hood for improved engine access, the nine-pin diagnostic connector was moved into the cab to reduce testing time for technicians, and a single-side, ground level-fluid filter service, which moves the engine oil, fuel, and hydraulic pilot oil filters to ground level on the right side of the machine and adds a service door for easy access to change filters.
