New Genie Platform Baskets Offer More Entry Points
New platform baskets for Genie boom lifts offer three entry points on an 8-ft basket or two entry points on a 6-ft basket to enhance operators’ mobility. The side swing gate allows walk-in access to and from the basket;sliding mid-rails, engineered into the front and sides of the platform, offer alternative entry and exit points.
These entry points help operators easily get in and out of the basket, with tools and materials. Genie offers the dual-entry basket in a 6-ft platform length for its compact booms and a tri-entry 8-ft platform length for its larger models.The baskets have eight lanyard attachment points to give operators the freedom to work anywhere on the platform.
The platforms are manufactured with steel materials that cannot break down or become compromised with repeated use. The platoform floor can be unbolted and replaced as needed.
The new dual-entry and tri-entry baskets can be used on any Genie boom that can be equipped with a 6-ft or 8-ft basket so rental store owners can retrofit their existing fleet to accommodate customers’ demand for these features. These new multi-entry baskets are compatible with most Genie accessories and options. The Genie dual-entry and tri-entry platform baskets will be available globally within Q2, 2016.
