Gas engine option for S800TX
Vermeer continues to meet the growing needs of the rental and landscape market by providing its workhorse mini skid steer, the S800TX, with a gas engine.
The 40-horsepower Kubota EFI gas engine offers a number of benefits — as compared to conventional carbureted engines — such as lower fuel consumption, easier maintenance and improved starting due to the elimination of the choke and cleaner emissions.
The S800TX has an 840-pound (381.1 kg) SAE-rated operating capacity with a 2,400-pound (1088.6 kg) tipping capacity. The high horsepower engine delivers 88.5 ft-lb of torque, equipping customers with versatility and power to do more with the one machine — from landscaping to trenching up to 48 inches deep.
The enhanced operator station features a single, pilot-operated joystick for smooth operation. The spring-cushioned platform keeps operators out of the mud and debris and provides additional support when working in rough terrain. The platform offers optimal viewing of attachments during operation. The operator presence system is integrated into the platform, in which the ground drive and attachment motion is suspended if the operator steps off the machine.
The universal attachment plate allows for quick change of a variety of attachments, making the S800TX a versatile machine for a variety of applications. An optional dual auxiliary system provides the operator with dedicated high-flow and low-flow circuits to operate certain attachments more smoothly and with more precision.
“Vermeer is constantly looking at what we can deliver to help our customers be more productive. By providing choices within our core rental equipment line, we are delivering high performance machines in a package that meets the diverse needs of the rental and landscape markets,” said Todd Roorda, tree care and rental sales manager for Vermeer.
The Vermeer mini skid steer line includes the S450TX, available with diesel and gas engine, and the S650TX diesel model.
