Mobile diesel generator line
QP Generator line delivers enhanced customization, engine choice and additional power nodes.
Southwest Products, a leading manufacturer of mobile diesel generators, has announced the relaunch of its Quiet Power (QP) generator line that features expanded Tier 4 Final options, choice of engine brands, increased customizability and new models.
To better accommodate the diverse job site demands of generator users, SWP’s QP generator line now offers four new Tier 4 Final-compliant mobile diesel generator options that broaden the line’s power node availability to 25 to 600+ kVA. The new generators continue QP line’s legacy of ultra-quiet operation with sealed sound attenuation and quiet cooling fans. They are also designed for long, 24-plus hour runtimes and easy maintenance. The new QP generators launching throughout 2017 include:
• QP 25 – 25 kVA/20 kWe prime rating, Isuzu powered
• QP 45 – 45 kVA/36 kWe prime rating, Isuzu powered
• QP 70 – 69 kVA/55 kWe prime rating, Isuzu powered
• QP 100 – 100 kVA/80 kWe prime rating, Volvo Penta powered
Powered by a number of proven Tier 4 Final industrial engines from Volvo Penta, Perkins and Isuzu, the QP line offers generator users the flexibility to choose the engine that fits their business needs. This allows rental yards, contractors and other users of mobile diesel power to select the power source that best aligns with their current equipment fleet and service capabilities. As a new distributor of Volvo Penta engines for the Western U.S., Southwest Products will continue to integrate their engines into a variety of generator models throughout 2017.
Along with the choice of engine, operators are empowered to build a generator that fulfills all of their power needs with additional options including battery charger, block heater, GPS, custom painting and more. The new QP generators also include a new standard feature: a self-contained fuel tank that is skid mounted to an easily removable trailer that allows user to customize the configuration for their job site.
“The hours that we have poured into engineering and product development have led to an evolved mobile generator line that offers our customers greater choice and customizability,” said Dan Vita, Southwest Products vice president of power division. “We spent a significant amount of time gathering customer feedback and used our customers’ on-the-job experience to guide our product design.”
The new generators were designed by the product development and engineering team at Southwest Products’ Surprise, Ariz., manufacturing headquarters. More than 2,000 hours went into the development of the new QP line, which included extensive prototyping and testing. Production of the new generators will begin throughout 2017 at SWP’s state-of-the-art production facility.
