Product Focus -- Heaters and climate control

New air and ground heaters for cold-weather use.

Refueling can be difficult on the job site, especially when heaters are 15 stories above the ground.

Indirect heater
The Foreman 230 indirect heater from L.B. White provides 230,000 btu/h of clean, dry heat and industry-leading, quiet operation.

Infrared radiant heater
The SunFire 150 uses state-of-the-art infrared radiant technology to produce 150,000 BTUs of instant portable heat for any indoor/outdoor application.

Hydronic surface heaters
Wacker Neuson surface hydronic surface heaters  quickly and economically thaw frozen ground, cure concrete, prevent frost and provide temporary heat during cold weather.

Thawing equipment
Tamarack Industries recently acquired Thawzall and now offers five different models of Heat King and Thawzall mobile glycol ground-thawing equipment.

Modular fuel system
Refueling can be difficult on the jobsite, especially when your heaters are 15 stories above the ground. Frost Fighter now offers its 100-gallon Modular Fuel System that fits Frost Fighter IDF350, IDF500, IDH400QR or IDH500QR models. An easy slide-in system allows users to quickly swap heaters so rental houses can supply the right size of unit to heat customer job sites. The Modular Fuel System has a built-in steel 120 percent secondary containment system approved to UL733, an optional four-point lifting bale that also allows two systems to be stacked for easy storage while saving valuable floor space. Built-in fork pockets are standard, allowing easy movement and placement of the system. The system is available to purchase already installed on Frost F.bighter units, or by itself with or without the lifting/storage support.

L.B. White 230 Foreman indirect heater

Indirect heater
The Foreman 230 indirect heater from L.B. White provides 230,000 Btu/h of clean, dry heat and industry-leading, quiet operation. The portable unit has robust components, a protective frame, no-flat wheels, and welded heat exchange. It’s easy to move and stands on end for efficient storage. Its recirculation and remote thermostat control aids fuel efficiency and the unit can be ducted up to 100 feet. An onboard voltmeter confirms that the 120 volts necessary to operate the unit is supplied while diagnostic lights and Beckett burner controls provide additional operator support. An onboard hour meter tracks total operating hours. The Foreman 230 dual fuel (DF) model runs on natural gas or propane; a lockable ball valve allows for quick fuel changes. The oil-fueled model runs on diesel and features a 33-gallon heavy-duty, metal diesel tank that supports 19 hours of runtime at full output. Third-party certified to national standards for use in US and Canada.

Infrared radiant heater
The SunFire 150 uses state-of-the-art infrared radiant technology to produce 150,000 BTUs of instant portable heat for any indoor/outdoor application. Unlike traditional heaters that use a 2-step heat transfer process, the SunFire will warm people, equipment and objects directly through infrared waves of heat that are completely unaffected by wind, making it the perfect choice for outdoor heating requirements during inclement weather. Although it burns diesel fuel and needs a 120V power source, the SunFire does not have an engine and is quiet, odorless, and smokeless with emissions so low they fall well below OSHA standards for indoor emissions. Just one unit has the power to heat at least 3,500 square feet and comes ready for thermostat use.
