Tsurumi Pump hires new engineer

Pat Donahue will help lead the application support of new product lines and strengthen the company's technical provision to customers and distributors.

Tsurumi Pump has hired Pat Donahue to support the expansion of new product offerings in the North American market, in particular its line of explosion-proof submersible pumps, the AVANT Series.

Donahue was recruited to help the company grow its product offerings and boost levels of technical support. Tsurumi’s robust product line attracted Donahue to the company. His experience in distribution will enable him to bring a unique viewpoint to Tsurumi and it will help the company boost its support for distributors.

“Having worked with multiple pump lines, I used to run into issues trying to fit specs, certifications and other features that weren’t always available. Realizing Tsurumi had such a broad product range impressed me of its capabilities,” Donahue says. “In distributor settings, I was able to see all sides of the business and with that experience, it has formed my approach of how to interact with manufacturers, distributors, and customers.”

Donahue majored in mechanical engineering at Purdue University. His work experience includes CAD design in manufacturing, followed by positions in application engineering for process equipment and pumps.

“Pat has already added to our capabilities, offering new ideas and solutions, and will continue to help Tsurumi grow in our target areas,” says Ben Rieboldt, Tsurumi’s head of engineering. “We’re excited to have Pat join our team and look forward to another tremendous year.”
