Perkins exhibits next-generation power solutions in booth 5005 at The ARA Show 2024
Portfolio for rental machinery includes high-efficiency engines and advanced battery-powered solutions.
To help rental equipment suppliers and customers navigate the challenges of skilled labor shortage, advancing emissions and noise requirements, and equipment electrification, Perkins will showcase its advanced power solutions and a new industrial engine, as well as its aftermarket service and expertise at the ARA Show, February 18-21, 2024, in New Orleans.
Perkins engines and support offerings are specifically tailored for machinery used by rental customers, ranging from pumps, compressors and welders to mobile generator sets, compact track loaders, mini excavators and aerial work platforms.
“As the North American rental industry encounters sustained customer demand, rental companies are demanding equipment that delivers superior performance and dependability with minimal service and maintenance requirements,” says Corey Berry, global rental sales and marketing manager for Perkins. “We’re poised with power solutions and support services optimized for rental applications, including highly efficient and reliable engines available today as well as next-generation battery-driven powertrains for tomorrow’s machines.”
Perkins will exhibit its new prototype battery, which uses Li-ion technology and is designed for recycling and reuse at the end of life. The 48, 300, and 600-volt battery configurations have a robust, modular design, and feature factory-installed telematics to optimize performance in off-highway applications while minimizing packaging.
Perkins will also showcase its new 2600 Series, a 13-liter diesel engine platform designed to achieve best-in-class power density, torque and fuel efficiency for heavy duty off-highway applications. The new platform extends Perkins leadership in high-performing, mid-sized engines with eight power ratings from 340 to 515 kW (456 to 690 horsepower) offering up to 3,200 Nm of peak torque.
Perkins will also highlight its wide range of diesel engines from 11 to 800 horsepower (8.2 to 597 kW) with dual label certification for EU Stage V and U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final standards. These engines are designed with the reliability, durability, and simplified maintenance needed by rental customers.
Additionally, visitors can learn more about the Perkins Rental Support Program (PRSP), which provides access to engine manuals, tooling and training to help rental technicians diagnose, fix and maintain Perkins engines and keep fleets running.
“Machinery equipped with Perkins power solutions are proven, long-term performers that help rental businesses manage costs, minimize risk, and preserve resale value to maximize their return on investment,” says Andy Curtis, customer solutions director, who is looking forward to discussing the new offerings with customers at the show.
