The E10e and E19e are commercially available, while the E32e is still under development and not yet commercially available.
Featuring state-of-the-art, lithium-ion battery technology, the Bobcat battery-powered compact excavators deliver performance that’s equal to or greater than their diesel-powered equivalents. The battery systems deliver high-energy density, long service life and require no routine maintenance. They provide about four hours of continuous runtime, or between six and eight hours of runtime using breaks to recharge.
The commercially available E10e and E19e take battery-powered, hydraulic performance to a new level. The excavators’ electric motors deliver full torque at all rpm ranges, resulting in loads of hydraulic workgroup power and smooth control. Under load, power supplied to the hydraulics remains more consistent, which results in precise control of all workgroup functions.
With a compact footprint and zero emissions, the E10e and E19e can tackle tough jobs in small spaces. Because they release no emissions, these excavators support environmentally sensitive worksites and allow users to operate indoors. The E10e and E19e can make light work of indoor demolition projects that otherwise require costly manual labor.
The E10e undercarriage can be retracted to just 28 inches wide for greater jobsite access, including passage through standard-sized door frames. The blade also is retractable at each side for narrow access to indoor or outdoor job sites. Once in position for work, the E10e undercarriage can then be returned to its 43-inch stance for a wider footprint and leading performance.
The E19e undercarriage and blade also can be retracted. With the undercarriage hydraulically retracted to just 39 inches wide, the E19e can pass through narrow access.
The excavators feature an electric power system that contributes to an exceptional operator experience with drastically reduced noise and vibration, which both operators and job site bystanders will appreciate. Because they are quiet, these excavators can be operated at all hours of the day, even in dense urban areas where noise can limit work hours.
The electric power needed to recharge the batteries costs a fraction of diesel, and these highly efficient excavators are built with fewer parts and fluids, which significantly reduces maintenance and repair costs, as well as work time lost to maintenance and repairs.
The battery management system protects the Li-ion batteries, extends battery life and optimizes power usage for highly efficient operations. This system monitors the batteries and will de-rate the excavator to prevent damage to the batteries.
- The E10e is powered by two Li-ion batteries that provide a total capacity of 11.5 kWh.
- An on-board charger, capable of receiving common electrical connections of 120 volts or 240 volts, supports overnight charging between 10 and 12 hours.
- An off-board, fast-charge system is also available for full battery recharge in just two hours.
- The E10e shares the same profile, external dimensions and comparable performance to the popular E10 compact excavator.
- The E19e is powered by three Li-ion batteries that deliver 17.3 kWh of total capacity.
- An on-board charger, capable of receiving common electrical connections of 120 volts supports overnight charging between 10 and 12 hours. An off-board, fast-charge system is also available for full battery recharge in just two hours.
- The machine features the same profile, external dimensions and comparable performance to the popular E19 compact excavator.
The E10e and E19e are available through select Bobcat dealers.
