With a maximum platform height of 61 feet 2 inches and a maximum outreach of 40 feet 6 inches, the Genie S-60 FE delivers clean, quiet jobsite performance and a low total cost of ownership. An unrestricted platform capacity of 660 pounds on a 6 foot jib with 130-degree working range gives operators additional flexibility.
It is a true hybrid: it can be powered by battery only, engine only, or a combination of both in a type of boost mode. This is compared with most of the competing booms that use of a smaller engine to charge the battery, which does not allow you to fully utilize the power an engine can offer.
A 24.8 hp DPF-free stage V engine eliminates the need for after-treatment or low-sulphur fuel, reducing the time and expense of maintenance and repairs while offering instant performance. It takes just seconds to start the engine, delivering instant power and torque when needed. Additionally, maintenance needs are further reduced by a design that has 70 percent fewer hydraulic components and moving parts.
The FE’s intelligent control system keeps the batteries charged and the machine ready to work by using both regenerative braking technology and automatic engine start and stop. By charging the batteries while the boom works, job sites can almost entirely eliminate downtime usually caused by plug-in charging.
The true benefit of Genie FE comes in the form of total cost of ownership (TCO). It can deliver the same performance as a standard diesel machine, with a smaller engine, drives lower maintenance and repair costs’ sources report.
The S-60 FE boom lift’s weight of 17,750 pounds makes it ideal for applications where floor loading must be managed. This also reduces transportation costs; the machine can be delivered on smaller trailers or combined with other equipment on a single trailer.
Getting around in rough terrain is no problem. High efficiency IP67 sealed and maintenance-free 4xAC drive motors offer 45% gradeability. Full time 4WD, active oscillating axles and industry-leading ground clearance further enhance maneuvering in rough terrain. Rough terrain non-marking tires are standard, further enhancing the ability to switch between indoor and outdoor applications.
