The 12XC is in the 4,400- to 4,800-pound class chipper and has gas and diesel engine options ranging from 49 to 74 horsepower. A 20-inch diameter x 13 ¼-inch wide two-knife chipper drum provides an efficient chipping action to effectively process brush, limbs, palm fronds, and other types of tree debris. The single top-feed wheel driven by a 32.3 CID hydraulic motor. Side-mounted springs are easily adjustable and provide significant down pressure to crush material. For additional compressing capabilities, a hydraulic lift cylinder is available as an option and generates 2,200 pounds of hydraulic down pressure reducing the need to trim or reposition material.
It has a wide profile 30 ¾-inch high x 54-inch wide fold-down infeed hopper that provide a stable platform to simplify the feeding process, especially when feeding brushy or multiple stems.
To maximize chip-throwing velocity, all Bandit drum-style chippers feature a slot located on the lower front side of the drum transition that increases airflow and can significantly reduce the time it takes to remove any plugging.
Each chipper has few electronic components and all major maintenance items are easily accessible.
