Severe-duty drum mulchers
Blue Diamond Attachments has launched two new models of Severe Duty Drum Mulcher attachments in 70- and 79-inch widths for skid steers, rounding out its family of mulcher attachments known for their durability and performance in forestry and land clearing operations.

This family of mulcher attachments includes extreme -duty, heavy-duty and SDX models designed for use with excavators ranging from 9,000 to 70,000 pounds, depending on the model. Blue Diamond also offers the severe-duty drum mulchers for excavators and heavy-duty models for skid steers. Adding to the mulcher attachment family are Blue Diamond disc mulchers, available with 44- and 60-inch cutting disc options for clearing brush, trees and stumps.
The two new severe-duty drum mulchers for skid steers feature an innovative bite control drum that maximizes cutting efficiency, along with the option of four-sided, high-speed chipping or single-sided carbide teeth. They feature a premium Danfoss two-speed motor that can be configured for a closed or open loop hydraulic system configuration, allowing operators to efficiently cut standing trees up to 12 inches in diameter and process heavy brush and dense vegetation. Weighing 2,990 pounds, the 70- and 79-inch severe-duty mulchers operate at a recommended hydraulic flow of 35 to 52 gpm.
The new severe-duty mulchers include additional features that support consistent performance and productivity.
- A rugged 3/8-inch STRENX performance steel construction withstands harsh conditions.
- Low-profile tooth anvil with secondary edge guard streamlines material flow and protects the attachment from jamming.
- Single-bolt tooth fastening and replaceable skid shoes simplify maintenance and extend attachment life.
- Hydraulic motor case overpressure protection (COP) safeguards the motor from damage.
