With an optimum hammer drilling range of 3/16- to ¾-inch diameter and 2.4 foot-pounds. of impact energy, the TE 8-22 delivers powerful drilling performance in a compact 6.5-pound tool designed for concrete drilling and light chiseling applications.
A key innovation of the TE 8-22 is its compatibility with the new TE-DRS-22 onboard dust removal system. Designed to capture dust directly at the source during drilling. The system helps support cleaner job sites and reduce worker exposure to airborne concrete dust.
The TE-DRS-22 includes several features designed to simplify dust management, including a transparent dust box, LED light, adjustable depth gauge and compatibility with drilling depths up to 8 inches.
Its integrated vacuum port allows users to empty collected dust directly into a vacuum system without removing or opening the dust box, helping reduce dust exposure during disposal while simplifying maintenance. Together, the TE 8-22 and TE-DRS-22 provide a fully integrated drilling and dust management solution within a single workflow.
The TE 8-22 is also engineered with Hilti's 3D Active Vibration Reduction (AVR) technology. Unlike traditional vibration reduction systems, 3D AVR uses sub-chassis technology to help reduce vibration in multiple directions, lowering user vibration exposure by up to 40 percent. Combined with Active Torque Control (ATC) and an electronic slip clutch, the system helps improve user comfort, reduce fatigue during repetitive drilling, and provide greater control when working in concrete.
Additional productivity features include three operating modes for hammer drilling, drilling only and light chiseling, allowing contractors to perform multiple tasks with a single tool.
Compatibility with SDS Plus chucks further expands application versatility while maintaining the power and precision required for demanding drilling work.
