Bobcat Company is expanding its excavator lineup to include a 14-metric-ton excavator – the new E145, its largest excavator ever.

The new E145 excavator complements the performance of 700 and 800 frame size Bobcat compact track and skid-steer loaders, particularly on new residential and commercial job sites. It’s also common for contractors to use both a 14-metric-ton excavator with smaller excavators on construction job sites. Contractors can work more efficiently with the excellent digging and lifting capabilities of the new Bobcat E145 excavator.

Powerful performance
The E145 delivers class-leading hydraulic performance that provides reliable, steady power to the work group, saving excavator operators time with every digging cycle. The machine offers industry-leading lifting capacity that enables operators to pick and place items with ease, as well as more slew torque for slewing uphill, backfilling and all-around better productivity. The turbocharged non-DPF engine provides consistently high torque levels, regardless of elevation.

Four selectable power models allow E145 operators to adapt to the work at hand, whether they need efficient fuel consumption or all-out power for tough digging and heavy lifting. In addition, a power-boost button temporarily increases hydraulic power when operators need to break through hard ground.

It can be equipped with an optional dozer blade for improved digging stability and leveling ability on uneven surfaces, and to allow fast, easy backfilling.

Rugged durability

Several features help reduce the risk of downtime for E145 excavator operators. The D-channel design of the E145 upper structure frame adds strength to better withstand side impacts and protect machine components. Hard, wear-resistant wear plates at the attachment connecting pins eliminate side play for extended service intervals on bucket pin-up points. Track pin links are permanently sealed and never need lubrication, which helps reduce operating costs and reduce downtime and drive motors are recessed within the track width to protect against job site hazards. An automatic belt tensioner maintains constant tension on the engine accessory belt, compensating for regular wear and maintaining the performance excavator operators demand.

Every major pin joint on the boom and arm is cast and reinforced cast steel pin bosses provide extra strength for the tough working conditions. In addition, the E145 offers several features that help protect the machine from theft or vandalism, including a passcode protection, a master battery disconnect, lockable panels and lockable fuel fill points.

Exceptional comfort
The E145 builds on the reputation that Bobcat Company has for delivering exceptional excavator operator comfort. The pressurized cab features a seamless sound-isolating seal to keep sound levels low inside the operator station. Thorough sound isolation reduces noise output outside the cab. The large cabin provides impressive visibility for operators to the front and sides of the machine. Other comfort features include an air suspension seat, a premium heating and air-conditioning system, an easy-to-read 7-inch LCD screen, and standard rearview and sideview cameras.

Easy component access
Access panels open wide and provide ample room to reach the top side of the E145 engine and a hinged belly pan allows access from the bottom. Solid steel side panels provide access to regular daily maintenance items for easy upkeep and more uptime protection. Centralized grease banks can be easily accessed from ground level to make essential daily maintenance quick and easy.
