Leading the SG7’s features is its self-adjusting skirt height, which is built into the dust shroud. The exclusive molded rubber housing of the shroud combined with replaceable nylon wear strips on the bottom edge allows it to float over the floor, rising and lowering to match the exact height of the grinding surface and the wear level of the grinding cup wheel. This maintains a constant, tight seal against the concrete, compensating as the grinding segments wear down or as the machine moves over peaks and valleys in the concrete. The result is better efficiency and a healthier job environment as operators no longer need to stop, bend and stoop to reset the shroud. The majority of the dust is trapped at the source instead of spreading through the work area.
The heavy-gauge steel frame is ergonomically designed to allow the operator to work in a fully upright position. This greatly reduces the potential for lower back pain, strained knees or other occupational-related health issues, all while increasing productivity over hand-held grinders.
The SG7 is easy to take from job to job. With a detachable handle and weighing only 39 pounds without a blade, it is easy to lift and transport, fitting in almost any size vehicle and moving easily from one area of a facility to the next.
The SG7’s flexible dust shroud also incorporates a flip-up edge that allows the operator to get a clear view of the front edge of the grinding cup wheel when working near walls and other obstacles.
Other standard features include Anti-Vibe caster wheels, a 2-inch diameter dust connection port and hose to handle applications with dust control requirements, and a 7-inch diameter diamond grinding cup wheel.
