Operators can shift between vibration and oscillation as needed in one machine, so there is no need for a second compactor. Oscillation obtains compaction while reducing felt vibrations, noise, and damage to nearby structures. Further, some areas are regulated as no-vibe due to soil type, so an oscillating roller must be used.
SAKAI oscillation is gear-driven, unlike competitor systems that are belt-driven.
The first units will roll off the Georgia production line in time for the beginning of the 2024 work season and can be ordered now.
