Purpose-built as part of JCB’s E-Tech range, the 505-20E gives contractors and rental centers a versatile solution for indoor, urban and environmentally sensitive job sites where traditional diesel equipment may face operational restrictions.
Powered by a 24-kWh Li-ion battery system, the 505-20E delivers a maximum lift capacity of 5,250 pounds and a maximum lift height of 20 feet, making it well-suited for a wide range of material handling applications. The machine features permanent four-wheel drive and three steering modes, providing the power and responsiveness operators expect in demanding jobsite conditions. With a top travel speed of 9 mph, the 505-20E maintains strong maneuverability and performance across varied terrain.
Designed to work a full shift depending on application, ambient temperature and duty cycle. Charging flexibility is built into the design, with an onboard 110-volt charger and an optional 480-volt off board fast charger that significantly reduces recharge time.
The compact dimensions, combined with a tight turning radius, make it ideal for confined work areas. Typical applications include indoor construction, warehouses, airports, municipalities, commercial renovations, food production facilities and job sites near schools, hospitals and residential areas where low noise and zero emissions are critical advantages.
