Concrete buggy

All-wheel drive Crete Rod delivers 33 cubic feet of material across the most challenging terrains.

Crete Rod introduces a powerful all-wheel drive material handler that delivers a 33-cubic foot payload across even the most demanding terrains, including tight quarters with limited access.

The Crete Rod moves concrete and other building materials across varied terrains and in restricted spaces like indoor and outdoor construction sites, bridge construction projects, mining facilities, landscape contracting projects, and more.

The nimble, three-wheeled workhorse was designed from the ground up to overcome the limitations of using concrete buggies, pumps and skid steers for material hauling. A Tier 4 engine ensures low CO2 exhaust emissions, while a low discharge height eliminates 95 percent of the splash for a cleaner pour with faster clean-up.

Measuring approximately 120 inches long by 54 inches wide and 59 inches tall, the Crete Rod serves as a low-profile equipment option and has a low center of gravity for stability. Its 78.5-inch wheelbase, coupled with all-wheel hydrostatic drive with twin locking motors and hydraulic cylinder driven rack-and-pinion steering deliver unparalleled stability, maneuverability, efficiency and versatility.

A 3-cylinder, 4-cycle, liquid-cooled Kubota Tier 4-complaint diesel engine and variable-displacement axial piston hydraulic pumps provide ample power, allowing the Crete Rod to deliver a full yard and a third of concrete precisely where it is needed.

Intuitive controls are simple to operate, while precise speed control ensure safety for the operator and adjacent workers.  High operator visibility further enhances job site safety.

Weighing just 2,400 pounds, the highly maneuverable Crete Rod is easy to load and unload from trailers, simplifying transport from job to job.

The Crete Rod was invented by Jim Deetjen, co-owner of Premium Concrete, a 30-year veteran of field construction. After looking at its fleet of concrete buggies, Deetjen and his mechanic realized that there was significant room for improvement. The pair spent countless hours in the shop developing the initial prototype of the Crete Rod. By 2009, with several prototypes working in the field, Jim realized that the Crete Rod could change the construction industry. The models offered today are the result of years of rigorous testing, manufacturing to exacting standards, and unrelenting quality control. Crete Rod is manufactured in Decatur, Indiana and is available for sale or rental through a network of North American dealers.
