| The new JCB 25Z mini excavator is designed to deliver the kind of versatility and accessibility rental centers rely on to keep machines working. |
Positioned in the 2-to-3-ton class, it brings together compact dimensions, practical performance and transport flexibility, making it a strong fit for everything from residential landscaping to light utility work. Its zero tailswing design allows operators to work confidently in tight or confined jobsites, helping expand where and how often the machine can be rented.
From a fleet standpoint, transportability is a major advantage. With an operating weight of 5,621 pounds, the 25Z can be towed behind a half-ton pickup, removing the need for specialized hauling and making it easier for customers to move between job sites. This lower barrier to transport can directly support higher utilization.
The machine is powered by a 24.7 horsepower engine and delivers a maximum dig depth of 9 feet 10 inches, along with a dump height of around 9 feet 11 inches. That combination gives operators the capability to handle trenching, loading and general excavation tasks without stepping up into a larger class of machine.
Intuitive controls and a comfortable operator station help reduce the learning curve, while durable construction supports the demands of rental use. The result is a dependable, easy-to-use machine that can move quickly from one jobsite to the next while delivering consistent returns.
