It removes the operator from unsafe situations on extreme slopes and other challenging areas.
A reliable and effective solution to tackle jobs that were previously deemed too difficult and dangerous for a human operator to handle safely with traditional mowing equipment, the unit features a true hybrid power system. A 7kW alternator is powered by a 37 horsepower Vanguard Big Block EFI/ETC engine that runs only when needed for charging. An Oil Guard system enhances engine protection on slopes and maximizes engine oil change intervals to save owners time and money. A strong, rugged, electric drive system delivers dependable power to the tracks and cutter deck.
Scag’s exclusive 52-inch, 4-blade Diamond cutter deck design provides effective and efficient cutting in forward and reverse, eliminating the need to turn 180-degrees at the end of each pass. Rugged construction allows it to tackle tall grass, thick weeds and heavy brush up to 1.5 inches in diameter. Electric cutting height adjustment from 3.5 to 11.5 inches meets the needs of various cutting applications.
Reinforced tracks and low center-of-gravity ensure slope-grabbing traction on challenging terrain, along with reduced ground pressure vs. traditional tires.
