The all-new model offers heavy-duty construction, excellent performance and advanced features for working at top efficiency for longer periods between charges. It comes standard with a 2.0 kW motor, innovative technologies, a dual battery bay and an optional quick charger for extended runtime.
Its motors have a forced air system that helps them to stay cooler and perform well in demanding outdoor operating conditions. They maintain speed to let the lawn mowers tackle the toughest mowing conditions.
With the Honda MicroCut twin blade system that has two blades and four cutting edges it lift the blades of grass before they are cut for an overall even and healthy finish for the lawn. Honda offers this unique system that makes two cuts on the blades of grass and re-snips the cut blades of grass into smaller pieces as the blades spin.
In addition, Honda battery-powered lawn mowers are designed with the same durability, quality, and reliability as its gas-powered mowers with high-quality components and bearings.
The Honda HRC-BE offers an electronic Cruise Control transmission that can adjust speed from 0 mph to 4.0 mph with a single lever, even when its large, easy-off 2.1 bushel grass bag is full.
Other features:
- The electronic Roto-Stop blade stop system allows a user to step away from the mower to empty the bag or move items out of the way without having to stop and restart the motor. The system also allows the user to engage the model’s self-propel feature without activating the blades, making it easier to transport the HRC-BE over non-mowing surfaces—such as paths or gravel—for a smooth, convenient workflow.
- The HRC-BE has the strongest frame in its class with heavy-duty reinforced handles, supports and stays and durable cables. The 21-inch, heavy-duty steel deck, equipped with side deck guards and a front bumper for increased durability, is built to last and designed for superior air flow and improved cut quality. A four-lever height adjustment system offers eight cutting heights ranging from .75 to 4.0 inches and strong, lightweight, nine-inch wheels provide rugged, dependable performance with excellent maneuverability. A mulching plug also is included.
- The 12Ah Li-ion battery has unique spring-loaded terminals, which can power up to 45 minutes of run time, depending on mowing conditions. This patent-pending design helps maintain battery life by providing a tighter connection between the battery and lawn mower, reducing the potential for damage from misalignment. For greater flexibility, the model has two battery bays, allowing users to add a second optional battery for additional run time. This second 12Ah battery extends run time up to 1.5 hours.
- An optional quick charging system that reduces charging time by as much as 75 percent on both 8Ah and 12Ah batteries as compared to the standard charger. The quick charger can charge the 8Ah battery in 1 hour and the 12Ah battery in 1.5 hours.
