The Komatsu PC45MR-5 has a net horsepower of 38 horsepower@2,400 rpm and an operating weight of 10,737 to 11,001 pounds, it’s the ideal compact excavator for a myriad of job site tasks.

The bucket capacity is up to 0.21 cubic yards, and the track options are rubber, steel or roadliner. It’s also available in two configurations, full cab or two-post canopy.

It also features a multifunction monitor that displays various alerts and machine information in a simple format, providing operation records, machine settings and maintenance data. The operator can easily switch screens while operating and fuel economy can be checked on the monitor to support training and coaching.

Working modes can be selected: Power (P) mode for heavy workloads and Economy (E) mode for lower fuel consumption. Both can be chosen easily on the monitor panel to match performance. Features like auto-idle shutdown automatically stops the engine after a preset time to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption.

Construction ready
The PC45MR-5 can be retrofitted with Komatsu’s Smart Construction 3D Machine Guidance system, providing real-time 2D and 3D grading guidance, along with a visual indicator system to improve accuracy and reduce rework.

This technology enables operators of all experience levels to work more efficiently and confidently, improving jobsite outcomes.
