Product Focus: Light towers

Compact light tower

The Terex RL4 light tower is a durable, cost-effective solution for job-site lighting. The extended-height floodlight tower provides 4,000 watts of light and 359 degrees of non-continuous tower rotation for pinpoint light positioning. The compact size of the RL4 enables transportation of up to 17 units per truck, maximizing freight dollars. The unit is powered by a Kohler engine and 6kW generator and offers up to 90 hours of runtime on a 45-gallon tank. It has a durable 23-feet 5-inch mast that has a dual self-braking winch design. The engine has high water temperature and low oil auto shutdowns.

LSC light tower

The new Doosan Portable Power LSC light tower incorporates features that make it easy to own, use and maintain. It features a Kubota D1005 water-cooled engine that meets EPA Tier 4 Final emission regulations. At 6 kW, the unit can illuminate four 1,000-watt metal-halide floodlights and provide receptacle power.

The unit has a 55-hour runtime. The compact frame allows 12 units to travel on a standard flatbed trailer for more cost-effective transportation. A curbside door allows safe operator access. The floodlights provide a NEMA 6-by-7-foot beam spread for broad light distribution and area coverage.

The small footprint of the floodlights improves wind load resistance. At full mast and with all four outriggers/jacks secured, the unit will withstand winds up to 65 mph.
