Doosan Adds Two Crawler Excavators to Tier 4 Lineup

Doosan's DX225LC-5 and DX235LCR-5 crawler excavators are now Tier 4-compliant and feature improved performance, operator comfort, fuel economy and durability. Both models replace the interim Tier 4 machines. With a near-zero reduced tail swing, the DX235LCR-5 can work close to buildings and in confined areas or on congested job sites. The DX225LC-5 is available in a super-long-reach (SLR) configuration designed for increased reach and dig depth.

Both include Smart Power Control (SPC), which consists of Variable Speed Control and Pump Torque Control, that work together to improve machine efficiency while maintaining productivity and reducing fuel consumption.

These models also include an improved 7-inch LCD screen to monitor machine while viewing the rearview or side-view camera image. Other updates include:

  • Improved anti-skid plates for easier engine access for machine maintenance
  • Emergency engine stop has been relocated for easier operator access
  • Improved serviceability with easier access to components
  • New front window design provides good visibility to the work area
  • Backfill blade package for the ability to smoothly grade or backfill material

The engines use a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and selective catalyst reduction (SCR) aftertreatment; diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) is used with SCR technology.

Doosan excavators come with a standard three-year subscription to Doosan Telematics.
