Hyundai Extends Excavator Line

Hyundai introduced its R330LC-9A High Crawler excavator, which includes a Tier 4 Interim engine upgrade, improved hydraulics, increased operator comfort and added durability.

Hyundai HC excavatorThe excavator’s high chassis feature helps it maneuver over piles of material, such as timber when used in forestry applications. The excavator has an operating weight of 74,960 lbs., is powered by turbocharged 268 hp Cummins QSL9 Tier 4 Interim Engine. The turbocharger continuously varies the airflow boost to match engine rpm and load demands for optimal performance. Other innovations such as the variable speed fan clutch, two-stage auto "decel" system and the economy mode help conserve fuel and reduce environmental impact. Dig depth is 24-ft. 2-in., bucket digging force is 51,700 lbs. and bucket capacity is 2.75 cu.yds.

The hydraulic system includes improved pump flow to minimize fuel consumption and improved spool valves are engineered to provide more precise flow to each with less effort. Enhanced hydraulic valves, precision-designed variable volume piston pumps, fine-touch pilot controls and enhanced travel functions make for smooth and easy operation. Design features include improved safety and visibility, and a customizable cab to enhance operator comfort.

A newly designed color LCD display cluster has easy to read digital gauges for monitoring temperature, fuel levels and other maintenance items. Its Hi-mate Remote Management System allows operators and dealer service personnel to access a machine’s vital service and diagnostic information from anywhere with internet access.  Hi-mate users can remotely monitor daily reports outlining a machine’s location, working hours, fuel consumption and any periodical maintenance needed, reducing downtime and saving time and money.
