Terex Adds Two Models to CTL Line

The GEN2 R350T and R350T Forestry compact track loaders feature a 120-hp, turbocharged Tier 4 final Cummins QSF3.8 diesel engine to offer operators productivity and quick cycle times. The new models can tackle demanding site preparation, construction, infrastructure development and demolition applications, including brush cutting, mulching, cold planing and more, the company says.

The radial-lift path machines provide 360 ft-lb of peak engine torque, high-flow auxiliary hydraulics, a high-capacity cooling system and a two-speed hydrostatic drive system that allows travel speeds up to 10 mph.

The R350T loader has an operating weight of 11,265 lb., a tipping load of 10,100 lbs., a 3,535-lb. rated operating capacity (at 35 percent tipping load capacity) and a lift height of 125 in. The R350T Forestry unit has an operating weight of 12,255 lb, a tipping load of 10,700 lb., ROC of 3,745-lb., also at 35 percent tipping load capacity, and provides the same lift height.

The machines have a narrow 6-ft. profile, 15-in. ground clearance and low ground pressure — 4.4 psi on the R350T unit and 4.3 psi on the R350T Forestry model -- so the loaders can work well in limited access areas, as well as on soft or sensitive surfaces.

The new loaders feature an advanced undercarriage system suspended from the chassis of the machine by torsion axles. These torsion axles are independent so there are multiple levels of suspension points connecting the chassis to the undercarriage. This design allows the bogie wheels on these models to flex, creating a smooth ride and taking away much of the vibration and shock associated with running over rocks, curbs and other rough terrain.

Terex GEN2 compact track loaders use a proprietary all-rubber track, rather than a rigid track technology with steel embedded tracks mounted on an existing skid steer chassis. With this system, these compact track loaders achieve more traction and higher flotation. They use composite materials rather than a steel skeleton so the tracks do not corrode or rust.

Front-mounted quick-connect hydraulic fittings and an electronic connector for control of attachments allow use of industry-standard attachments. These models are also equipped with pilot-operated joystick controls and a comfortable operator station.
