Clark Material Handling Company offers the S-Series with the latest advances of its heart-of-the-line family of internal-combustion trucks. Produced in LPG, dual-fuel and diesel configurations, the units feature Smart Strong Safe design elements: Smart elements include interactive dash, on-board diagnostics, engine/powertrain protection monitoring, built-in service tools and on-board reporting of operator-controlled functions. Strong elements include standard force-cooled wet disc brakes, fully welded heavy-gauge frame, nested I-beam upright, six-roller carriage, external side-thrust rollers, stamped steel hood and side panels. Safe design elements include automatically applied parking brake, speed limit control, increased visibility for the operator, optional rear-view camera, operator restraint system with a high-vis seat belt, standard Clark OPS (Operator Presence System) system and a design that optimizes the center of gravity.

Adjustable-wheelbase forklifts
Toyota Forklifts adds remote-controlled, adjustable wheelbase forklifts in the 15,000- to 80,000-pound capacity range to its THD line. The newest cushion-tire forklift can navigate tight spaces yet still lift up to 80,000 pounds. With its stacked-plate counterweight and low-profile design, it can go into locations conventional forklifts cannot access. The heavy-duty model features rigger boom attachments for additional load support, a two-speed hydrostatic transmission and a seven-inch color LCD multi-function touch. The wheelbase is extendable from 36 inches to 48 inches, depending on model. They are outfitted with a quick-change fork system and the display features an onboard estimated capacity calculator. Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America (MCFA) offers the Jungheinrich ECE 227XL / 236XL easyPILOT forklift that links the operator and truck via a wearable remote. The truck detects operator’s movements and follows him or her, providing hands-free operation and optimizes order picking performance. It will also be introducing the MIT WP23-30 model (not pictured) that will offer up to 23 percent greater energy efficiency models and up to 15.3 percent reduced steering force than previous models. It will have fork design improvements and diverse pallet entry guide options. It will offer improved visibility to fork tips through a redesigned battery cover as well. Unit can be equipped with a fully enclosed integrated charger, two-inch full-color display, easyAccess via softkey or PIN code and an auto-shutoff feature. www.mcfa.com
