Construction sector adds 11,000 jobs in October
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 161,000 in October, below economists' average expectations, according to today's data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The construction sector gained 11,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate decreased from 5 percent to 4.9 percent. Revisions from August and September numbers led to an additional increase of 44,000 jobs during that period.
