R-C mower cuts steep roadsides
A remote-controlled drone mower was demonstrated recently in Dallas, Texas, cutting a steep roadside.
The Spider ILD02 drone mower, from Dvorak, Pohled, Czech Republic, can be used to cut grass on inclines up to 40 degrees or 55 degrees if the unit is stabilized by a hydraulic winch. The mower could replace as many as 15 workers with brush cutters or one boom mower carried by a tractor, the company says.
