MQ Whiteman products have always been a leader in the world of power trowel design, starting in 1939 with the invention of the walk-behind trowel, sources report. In keeping with the spirit of innovation, Multiquip is introducing the LD6, a fully hydrostatic 6-foot ride-on trowel that incorporates features such as a servo-controlled pump and high-torque drive motors to achieve performance and efficiency levels unmatched by any 6foot ride-on trowel. Maintenance costs are minimized by eliminating items like belts, clutches and driveline components.

“The MQ Whiteman LD6/LD6SL were designed with the contractor in mind,” says Kelly Panzeri, product manager for Concrete Finishing Products. “The LD6 has many of the same features as our much larger machines, but in a smaller package.”

The new model offers:

  • Superior performance in all phases of concrete finishing with efficient hydraulic drive motors when compared with mechanical gearboxes. If provides the torque on demand and still have plenty of top-end speed to seal the slab.
  • It is perfect for deck work and jobs that can require performance with a smaller footprint.
  • High ROI thanks to a hydraulic design that reduces maintenance by eliminating dozens of wear parts, resulting in less downtime.
  • The platform is comfortable, with a relocated steering and pitch controls, plus obstructions have been eliminated to obtain in better operator visibility of the work surface.
  • Its compact design is versatile enough for small- to medium-sized slabs and equally at home on high-rise deck work. It is small enough to fit into the bed of standard pickup truck or into a freight elevator.

The LD6 is offered as a base unit with optional accessory kits sold separately. LED lighting kit, a spray system, edger kit, and even an arm rest kit for operator comfort. The LD6SL model comes from the factory complete with LED lights and spray system installed. LPG kit with catalytic converter will be available in 2021.
