Honda pumps
Honda Power Sports & Products markets a complete line of portable water pumps for a wide variety of rental, agricultural, construction and residential applications.

The product line consists of rugged, easy-to-use models that are used for gasoline-powered de-watering, trash, multi-purpose and electric submersible models.

Honda also produces pumps for specialty applications, such as pumping water contaminated with larger debris 1 1/16 inches in diameter) Honda stainless steel, electric submersible pumps are used for a wide range of residential and commercial sump applications.

  • Honda de-watering pumps are designed for general de-watering applications—excluding drinking water or flammable liquids. Typical applications for the general-purpose pump series include irrigation, flood control, light construction, and swimming pool drainage. The Honda WB20X and WB30X are two popular models for the rental market.
  • Honda WT Series trash pumps are ideal for heavy-duty commercial and agricultural applications. Powered by Honda commercial grade OHV engines, the WT Series trash pumps offer quick clean out and feature full tubular frames—unique conical-shaped cast iron impeller and volute, replaceable stainless-steel wear plates, long-life, silicone-carbide seals and lightweight cast aluminum pump housing.
  • Honda WDP Series diaphragm pumps have a positive displacement design that moves wastewater containing up to 2.4” diameter solids. Engineered for industrial applications including construction, agriculture, mining, and any application where shallow depths might be encountered, Honda WDP pumps feature the Honda innovative shock-absorbing spring-loaded connecting rod.
  • The Honda WMP20X multi-purpose pump is designed to allow transfer of various approved industrial and agricultural chemicals and has a special composite pump case suitable for pumping a variety of fluids (information about specific, approved chemicals is available at www.hondapowerequipment.com). This model also features two-inch suction and discharge ports, spring mounting feet, standard Oil Alert® and a discharge capacity of 220 gallons per minute.

Choosing the right pump
Choosing the correctly sized pump for an application is equally as important as using the right type.  One of the most important factors for consideration in making the right pump choice is the total head—a formula which equals the suction head plus the discharge head. Static suction head is the height from where the water (or other liquid) is drawn to the pump. Static discharge head is the height from the pump to the final destination of the liquid. Other factors that affect total dynamic head and discharge performance include hose diameter, length, material and sprinkler or nozzle use.  Honda offers free pump calculation software and other sizing information at powerequipment.honda.com/pumps.
