Rapid Roof Remover

Roof and tile remover
The Rapid Remover is a lightweight pneumatic tool that serves two very different markets for the rental industry. This powerful air-driven machine is capable of removing multiple layers of roofing with fasteners in a single pass. Up to five layers have been removed at once, saving hours of valuable time and physical effort on a single roof replacement. This machine is also quite efficient for the removal of most flooring material. A variety of blades are available: The standard blade is toothed and is 30 inches wide; an 18-inch toothed blade can remove roofing over swayed trusses or for flooring removal in restricted areas. A 4-inch beveled blade can be used to remove hardwood glued to concrete, one of the most difficult and time-consuming jobs in flooring removal.

Power options for boom lifts
The new Genie Lift Power system includes new hydraulically driven generators that run on a stand-alone circuit with a separate hydraulic pump to supply continuous electrical power from the generator. Forever-ODM Inc. will exhibit its patent-pending 32/12 Scissor-Boom with a 32-foot platform height and 12-foot platform extension that allows workers to reach objects that normally require a boom lift. With a 300-pound capacity at the 12-foot powered outreach, the 32/12 Scissor-Boom is designed mainly for industrial and municipal applications where the platform can be extended to reach over tall objects on the ground, sidewalk, green belt, balcony or window/door shelters of the building. It can travel and swing at the full working height. It is the first in a series of Scissor-Booms under development. It will allow contractors to do jobs that require a boom lift, but at a scissor lift price. It is also easy to maintain and transport.

Barreto Mfg. features the STK walk-behind track trencher. It has an independent floating rack system with undercarriage idlers that follow the terrain, providing more fluid movement than traditional track trenchers when working in rough and uneven conditions. The STK track design provides 131 square inches of footprint on each side of the machine for outstanding traction and stability in difficult soil conditions, sources report. The unit uses a new Adjustable Trenching Control system that uses a rod linkage instead of cables.

Point of Rental’s Inspection app recently took top honors in the Access Rental Innovation category of the 2017 ALH Awards. The Inspection App works in conjunction with Point of Rental’s products, Rental Elite and Rental Expert. It automates the inspection, maintenance, and service processes while allowing users to manage them via mobile device. Managers can set up the correct inspection processes for each item in the system and technicians access their assigned inspections via mobile interface. Should a mission-critical checklist item fail inspection, an internal repair/maintenance order will automatically be created, moving equipment back to “ready to rent” status faster.

Kubota’s new U27-4 minimum tail-swing compact excavator will be available in early 2018 and features adjustable auxiliary flow hydraulics; an auxiliary diverter valve, two-speed automatic downshift travel and best-in-class reach and dig depth, Kubota sources report. Even with its minimum tail-swing design, it has one of the largest operator stations in its class. An enclosed cab option with heat is also available.

Brave’s new BRPT704H is a lightweight, belt and pulley-driven trencher that operates at a rate of up to 20 fpm. It is easy to use and can be easily loaded, unloaded and operated by one person. The unit’s rotor is fully enclosed and has a safety clutch lever. It can cut a trench from 4 to 7 inches deep with a standard rotor. Changing the tungsten carbide rotor is easy by removing one nut with a hand tool that comes with the unit. The trencher’s low-profile design provides maximum stability with minimum turf damage. With optional rotors, the unit can bury cable or pipe, prune roots, grind small stumps, define landscape beds and install edging, invisible dog fencing or sprinkler systems.

Covering power ratings from 25 to 330 kVA, the fuel-efficient lineup offers the latest Tier 4 Final engines, footprints up to 20 percent smaller than the previous generation, and a superior end-user experience. The new paralleling option is easy to use and provides additional benefits in terms of versatility, reliability and fuel efficiency. Equipped with an Isuzu, John Deere or MTU Tier 4 Final diesel engine, QAS generators pack reliable power into a compact yet rugged enclosure that is weather-resistant and sound attenuated. Models are available in skid-mount units or an integrated trailer. The units are easy toperate with an intuitive controller that can start the generator with two simple clicks. Depending on the model, the generators can reach up to 40 hours of runtime per tank of fuel, with an external one-click fill mechanism for fuel and DEF. QAS generators require less than two hours of service for every 500 hours of operation.

John Deere continues to upgrade its G-Series excavator lineup with the introduction of the 30G compact excavator, filling a gap in the three to four metric ton class. This new model offers increased lift capacity and improved breakout forces and incorporates all current G-Series features, including standard pattern changer and standard hand-controlled proportional auxiliary hydraulics. It also provides an updated model to the 27D with improved operation specifications and features such as a 22 percent increase in bucket force; 11 percent increase in arm force; 17 percent increase in net engine horsepower without the use of aftertreatment; up to 32 percent increase in auxiliary hydraulic flowand a 9-foot, 2-inch dig depth, which is an 8-inch increase over the 27D and 26G. The new cab has heat and air-conditioning and a new suspension seat with adjustable wrist rests.

An exclusive symmetrical drum and patented paddle configuration creates more paddle and drum contact with the mortar, moving the mix horizontally and in a circular motion. The wheels adjust from a towing width to under 36 inches, allowing the unit to easily pass through a door opening.

General Equipment Company’s new VS220 dust collector offers an effective dust control system that balances power, performance and utility. Featuring a 99 percent-efficient at 0.5 micron pre-filter and a 99.7-percent efficient at 0.3 micro HEPA secondary filter, the VS220 captures fine dust particles, allowing users to comply with OSHA respirable crystalline silica exposure regulations (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1153). The unit includes separate 2 and 3 inch-diameter dust port connections for simultaneous or independent operation. The VS220 is easy to maneuver with 5 inch-diameter casters and has a low center of gravity with greater stability over traditional vertical, canister style vacuums that are prone to tipping. Powered by a Kubota 2.4 liter, 65.2-horsepower engine, it features a radial lift loader design with a maximum lift height of 9 feet 6.4 inches and a rated operating capacity of 1,841 pounds. The TL6 is just 5 feet wide and 6 feet 5.8 inches high. A new cabin with an overhead 5.7-inch color multi-information display and backlit rocker switches control a variety of machine functions. A cab with a swing-out door, heat, and air conditioner are available for greater operator comfort. The unit weighs 7,480 pounds with a canopy or 7,780 pounds when equipped with a cab. The Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM) system comes standard.

Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment (CP) adds the CPPG 2.5, 5.5 and 7W portable gasoline generators to its equipment line. The generators are designed to deliver stable electrical output and safe, user-friendly operation over a long service life. The CPPG 2.5 features a 4.75-gallon fuel tank that can run continuously for 11 hours and produces a continuous output of 2,500 watts. The midsize CPPG 5.5 has a 5.5-gallon fuel tank and can run continuously for 10 hours with a continuous output of 5,500 watts.The CPPG 7W features a 6.6-gallon fuel tank that can run continuously for 8 hoursand produces a continuous output of 7,000 watts.

Construction Electrical Products (CEP) Introduces the newest in SMD LED technology. Model 9322 is a quad LED cart with four 5500 Lumen LED fixtures. Each head can adjust for pan and tilt for greater area coverage. With all four heads, the total current draw is 1.7 amps, making the fixture 110 percent more efficient than metal halide units. The new dual-head 7322 200-watt wide-angle light (pictured), has two fixtures capable of 22,000 lumens per head. Both are available on the CEP584 large cart system and can be adapted to existing carts in fleets. New carts also include a mounting for portable generators or temporary power units.

Granite Industries offers this rack that can withstand the daily rigors of rental shop use. Extremely popular with rental companies to store their discharge hose inventory. The racks can be stacked up to three units high; each rack can hold 2,000 pounds. A set of 8-inch swivel casters come standard with each rack and the racks have built-in forklift pockets for easy stacking and moving. Available leg heights of 33 and 39 inches. Made in the USA.
