Product Focus -- Portable Compressors

Allmand portable compressor

New portable compressors
Allmand Bros. Inc., enters the portable air compressor segment with its Maxi-Air MA185 185 scfm and MA400 400 scfm models. Delivering up to 120 psi working pressure, the units are reliable, fast, easy to maintain and have long service intervals. They are equipped with a high-capacity cold-start battery and two ¾-inch Chicago-style fittings. The unit produces 63 dBA sound level. Fuel tank capacity stretches fueling to once every 8 hours; an electric fuel primer and air-bleed (EFPA) pump make restarting easy if it runs out of fuel. All fluids are plumbed to the curbside edge of the compressor for easy maintenance access.

DeWalt Flexvolt compressor

Cordless compressor
DeWalt adds the FlexVolt 60V Max DCC2560 2.5-gallon cordless air compressor that weighs only 21.5 pounds without a battery. It can drive up to 1,220 18-gauge nails per charge with one 6.0Ah FlexVolt battery. It features an efficient brushless motor and heavy-duty, oil-free pump. The OneTurn regulator replaces tank and output pressure gauges. It delivers 135 psi maximum pressure and 1.2 scfm at 90 psi.

Mi-T-M portable compressor

Compressor for rental fleets
The Mi-T-M 8-gallon wheelbarrow-style compressor is popular with rental centers. The portable single-stage air compressor features a Honda OHV engine and delivers 13.9 cfm at 90 psi, so it can power tools ranging from nail guns to impact wrenches. The unit features a 16-gauge two-piece belt guard, stainless-steel braided discharge hose, large intake filter, regulator and tank and outlet pressure gauges. The unit has twin-tank receivers; a 10-inch flat-free tire eases moving it from job to job. It has two-year pump exchange warranty and a limited three-year Honda engine warranty.

Sullivan Palatek compressor

375 cfm portable compressor
The Sullivan-Palatek D375PHJD4 portable compressor is a dual-pressure unit that can deliver 375 cfm at 100 or 150 psi. A John Deere Tier 4 final engine drives the Sullivan-Palatek 127 mm twin-screw air end. It has a full containment frame, remote drains, lockout aftercooler capability, 80-gallon fuel tank, exterior-lit fuel fill, fuel-saving and noise-reducing clutch fan and a durable galvanneal enclosure with a powder-coated finish. The compressor is also equipped with the SPEC full-service electronic controller with digital readouts.

Kaeser M125 compressor

Pressure range from 85 to 205 psig
Kaeser Compressors, Inc. adds the Mobilair M125 portable compressor that produces 405 cfm at 145 psig. It comes standard with an oversized fuel tank, power-saving Sigma Profile rotary screw air end and heavy-duty Tier 4 final-compliant Deutz diesel engine. The onboard Sigma Control Mobil controller enables variable pressure ranges between 85 and 205 psig. The optional clean air treatment packages make it an excellent choice for sandblasting and back-up plant air. The weatherproof canopy and wide-opening gull wing doors offer quick access, easy servicing and reduced noise levels.

Sullair oil-free compressor

Oil-free compressor
Sullair adds the OFD1550 portable air compressor that can provide oil-free compressed air for sensitive operations. Its air end can withstand the rigors of continuous operation and offers optimal performance and cooling under various loads and ambient situations. It can supply 1,550 cfm of Class 0 oil-free air (ISO 8573-1) at 125 psi. The Tier 4 final-compliant diesel engine drives the durable two-stage Sullair air end that has rotors with FDA food-grade PTFE that resists corrosion and extends air end life. It also has a color 7-inch Sullair Touch Screen controller and Sullair AirLinx remote monitoring and telematics. It is available in a refinery package with 110 percent fluid containment, anti-static belt, non-metallic fan and engine air shut-off valve. A cold weather package allows operation at temperatures as low as -20F.w

Doosan dual pressure compressor

Dual-pressure air compressor
Doosan Portable Power adds the P425/HP375 dual-pressure/dual-flow air compressor that can operate at 425 cfm at 100 psi or 375 cfm at 150 psi. Powered by a Cummins QSB 4.5L Tier 4 Final–compliant engine with maintenance-free aftertreatment, the five-gallon diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank needs refueling once every two diesel refuels. The Doosan air end requires less horsepower to deliver high-volume cfm output, which results in improved fuel economy. Lower fuel consumption results from an electronically controlled engine-driven cooling fan that engages only at higher temperatures.
